SILENTLY

Written for colleague Sanaa Rizvi's
PROMPT NIGHTS:

Silently
I cried in the dark
Cause there was no need
to act out what's in my heart
For I knew exactly
what they would bark
so I kept it all within
and prayed to the stars.

that someday I will be freed.

Silently
I walked in the cold
Treated bitterly
by those who were foes
With difficulty,
my refuge was my home
in there I would keep
my pain and my woes

later to be salved and appeased.

Silently
I will be strong
and patiently
I will go on.
Hopefully
someone will come along
and happily
I will be long gone.

    1. thank you Gillena. this is about me in 2015. I'm glad 2016 is much more sunnier and happier. no worries, this is partly autobiographical. that's why this blog is not titled, Tears of Jamztoma. rather the writes on many themes with a rhythmic beat. love ya!

  6. Long gone? Only the sorrow and fear, I hope! The listeners are there, they are coming, or maybe only one--the right one. Love!

There has to be that positive underlying desire to overcome. It may come together with a loved one certainly, Jazzy!

  9. Sometimes one has to go through those prayerful times of silence in the night to be able to find the answers one seeks.
