A Struggle with Wits, Humor, and Positivity

Carol P. (C.P. for short) Henderson is a fighter and a hard worker.  She followed in her father and sister’s footsteps of joining the United States Air Force right out of college.  But in this eventful memoir of hers, she had to stand her ground and earn her place through all of her employments in the federal government.  Being an employee of the federal government is a blessing right?  Not according to her in here.  In here, she tells all, right from her racist supervisor in the military to her devil incarnate boss at a job in the state of Maryland to dirty and sleazy co-workers she encountered in Arizona.  All of it with her own wit and sense of humor that will make you read on for laughs and for pure entertainment.

What I really loved about this book was the fact that C.P. never backed down while in the middle of all her hardships.  And add to that her mocking tone in her side comments for each of the occurrences she so deliciously inputs in this sad but positive account of her experiences of being employed by the federal government.  I also acknowledge her family and boyfriend for being there for her in her times of need.  I think this memoir is meant to inform C.P.’s audience of the struggle she went through and how she arrived at the current place she is in at the moment (as this book was published last year in 2016, we don’t know if her situation has changed, like advanced on to better things or not).  I have to tell you, the working life has its own positives and negatives and that everyone’s journey is various.  This is just a glimpse into what C.P. went through and if we are ever to come across the likes, then we should summon up memories of this account and see how C.P. dealt with it.  It’s so funny I had to laugh out loud while resting on a couch because her sense of humor is very extreme and there’s always that sense of “girl bye” attitude in her tone!  Hahahahaha!

I recommend this book to people who love a funny story and are looking for laughs.  It’s got all of the juicy details that can make one stay up all night to find out what her destiny would be because for one, it is a struggle and we all love to read about struggles to get inspired by.  Secondly, it is witty and hilarious.  I was impressed by every comeback she had for every smart-mouth or jerk she had to put up with at each of her jobs.  We all want that in a story right?  YES!  So take it from me, get this book for this upcoming weekend if you’re planning to stay in and rest or for that stroll in the park on Sunday you’re looking forward to.  I read this all in two days and boy I felt empowered by C.P.’s careless and fighter attitude.  All through this book, she never mentions any moment where she backed down during hard times.  Her wit and courage make her story shine through.  It is a memoir worth your entire day.  Get it today!  Hooray!
